Looking through the charts this morning, I actually found something that sounds pretty good. This track comes from a musical project called Toni Tone, which is comprised of DJ Toni (Toni Valentin Ene), DJ Tone (Tiglar Mircea), and Lexi (Alexandra Tirtirau). Tone started out with heavy metal, moved on to hip-hop, but soon found his calling in electronic music after starting to work as a producer at Radio Deva and meeting up with the german DJ Sash (Sascha Lappessen), who gave him the advice to do anything with love and passion and not just for the money. Toni, who started out young with some midi drums and a computer, experimented with the many genres of electronic music. After hearing his work, Tone teams up with Toni, starting a remixing career. In ‘09, after a few years together as DJs, they decided to begin producing their own music, teaming up with Lexi and creating Toni Tone. This year, they released their debut single, Forever Alive, which is currently making its way up the charts. Their wish is to move away from the style of electronic music that has developed thus far in Romania, one that it seems to them that the people have grown tired of, and create an even better sound.
